Why Choose Van Buren County Hospital?
Van Buren County Hospital is affiliated with the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics (UIHC) and through that affiliation, we offer a number of specialty clinics on a monthly basis.
The hospital is designated by UIHC as its Southeast Iowa Heart Center and is the only hospital in the state chosen as a beta site for UIHC's electronic medical record, EPIC.
With our up-to-date equipment and our new or newly remodeled facilities, we offer Van Buren County residents the best in medical care. We offer digital mammography and high definition endoscopy services. Construction will begin in a few months on a new dietary department, infusion center, resistance pool, and attached clinic.
Our medical staff consists of three family practice physicians, an internal medicine physician, an obstetrician/gynecologist, and a general surgeon. And, we have six mid-level providers who, with our physicians, staff six medical clinics. As the UIHC’s Southeast Iowa Heart Center; we have a cardiologist on site every Monday.
We invite you to come for a visit, meet our physicians, and tour our hospital, clinics and community. A stay at one of our bed and breakfast establishments, at our expense, awaits you.
